Do you need an apostille on your Driver License?

In order to apostille a copy of your driver license, you will need to make a color copy of your license and meet with a local notary who will “Copy Certify” it.

In most States, this involves making a color copy of the license and meeting with the local notary public. You will basically be taking an oath that the copy is the copy of the original in your possession.  The notary will attach a “Copy Certification” form to the copy of the license or you can write on the color copy “This is a copy of the original in my possession”.  Sign the original or the attachment and the notary will go ahead and place his/her seal on the document. Be sure to speak with the notary on how this process is done because every State has their notarial laws.
