Documents originating from or notarized from a specific state must also obtain the apostille from the state state. A special power of attorney notarized in California can only receive the apostille from the California Secretary of State’s office.

Driver’s License Apostille for Portugal

  1. Check if your driver’s license is valid in Portugal: The Portuguese government allows certain foreign driver’s licenses to be exchanged for a Portuguese driver’s license. Check the official website of the Portuguese Immigration and Borders Service (SEF) to see if your driver’s license is eligible.
  2. Apostille a color copy of your driver’s license in the state of issue.  Make a color copy of your driver’s license and meet with a local notary public.  Depending on the state, either the notary will copy certify your license or you will need to attest to it’s authenticity with a sworn statement and signature.  The notary will then notarize the document.  Mail in your notarized color copy with our order forms for processing.
  3. Gather other necessary documents: You will need to provide other documents, such as proof of residence in Portugal, proof of identity, and proof of payment of fees.
  4. Submit your application: You can submit your application to exchange your California driver’s license for a Portuguese driver’s license at any Portuguese driving license office. You will need to provide all the required documents and pay the applicable fees.

IRS Form 6166 for Bulgaria

IRS Form 6166 is a document issued by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) that certifies that a person or entity is a resident of the United States for tax purposes. The form is used to claim treaty benefits on income received from sources outside of the United States.

Form 6166 is a letter of U.S. residency certification, and it is used in place of IRS Forms 1099, W-2, and other tax forms that prove residency for tax purposes. In Saudi Arabia, unmarried or unrelated couples are generally not allowed to live together or engage in romantic relationships in public. The country adheres to strict Islamic law, and its legal system prohibits sexual relationships outside of marriage. As a result, public displays of affection, such as hugging or kissing, can result in penalties, including fines, imprisonment, or deportation.

In some cases, non-Muslim couples may be allowed to live together if they can prove that they are married in their home country and have the proper documentation to support their relationship. However, this can be a difficult and time-consuming process that may involve significant bureaucracy and legal fees.

It’s worth noting that this change only applies to documents originating from the United States. Documents from other countries may still require embassy or consulate legalization before they can be used in Saudi Arabia. The Philippines and the United States have a tax treaty in place.  The purpose of this tax treaty is to prevent double taxation of income that is earned by residents of one country in the other country.   1. Obtain a certified copy of your birth certificate from the issuing authority, such as the vital records office in the state or country where you were born.  In the United States, we recommend that you contact the County Clerk’s office or State Registrar.  If your birth certificate is from the District of Columbia, contact District of Columbia Department Health, Vital Records.
  2. Check the requirements of the country where the birth certificate will be used to make sure it meets their criteria for an apostille.  Depending on your situation, they may also ask you to apostille other documents (Example: marriage, FBI background check, etc…).  It’s important to know of all the documents being requested from you to avoid any delays or additional cost.
  3. Mail in your birth certificate with our order forms for processing.   In the United States, an apostille is issued by the Secretary of State in the state where the birth certificate was issued.  For example, if the birth certificate originates from Florida, you will need a Florida apostille.

  5. Once the apostille is processed, the state will attach it to your birth certificate, certifying that the document is authentic and can be recognized in the country where it will be used.

Certificate of No Impediment for Marriage

A Certificate of No Impediment for Marriage is a document issued by a government authority that states that there are no legal obstacles to a person getting married in a foreign country (Example: Mexico) . CFG Apostille

Do you need an apostille for a Certificate to Foreign Government (CFG) issued by the FDA?

The “Certificate to Foreign Government” is for the export of human drugs and biologic, animal drugs, and devices that can be legally marketed in the United States.

If you are planning to export products to another country, the government receiving the products will request a Certificate to Foreign Government which assures that the product are in compliance with U.S. laws or meets specific U.S. regulations.  The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is the government agency which issues this type of certification.

In many cases, foreign governments are seeking official assurance that products exported to their countries can be marketed in the United States or meet specific U.S. regulations, for example current Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations.
