A digital Certificate of Free Sale is an certificate issued by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).  This document assures that the materials listed are on file with the Food and Drug Administration, Department of Health and Human Services.

A food may be exported if it meets the specification of section 801(e) of the FD&C Act [21 U.S.C. 381(e)].  In accordance with the provisions of this section, a food intended for export shall not be deemed to be adulterated or misbranded under the FD&C Act if it:
(a) accords to the specifications of the foreign purchaser
(b) is not in conflict with the laws of the country to which it is intended for export,
(c) is labeled on the outside of the shipping package that it is intended for export, and
(d) is not sold or offered for sale in domestic commerce.

US Passport Apostille

Do you need to apostille your US Passport?

A passport issued by the US Federal Government can be apostilled through our Washington DC office.  In order to apostille this document, you will need to mail in the original passport to our Washington DC office.  Please, do not send copies of your passport as we will need to see the original.

Once we receive your original passport, our notary will copy certify and obtain the apostille from the Secretary of DC.  Please note that your passport will not be damaged in the process.  The apostille will be attached to a color copy of the passport and not the original passport.  You can see an example of an apostille issued by the Secretary of DC below.

If you are outside of the USA, do NOT mail your original passport to our office.  You can visit the local US Embassy or US Consulate who will assist you in notarizing a true copy of your passport.  Once it has been notarized at the US Embassy or US Consulate office, go ahead and mail in your documents to our DC office for processing.

Petition for Name Change Apostille – US District Court

How to apostille a Petition for Name Change:
A Petition for Name Change issued from the U.S. District Court requires two steps to complete.  The first step is to authenticate the document through the U.S. Justice Department located in Washington, D.C.  The second step requires the document to be apostilled through the U.S. Department of State.  The estimated processing time to complete both steps is nine business days.

Because this document is issued by the U.S. District Court, you must mail in a certified copy.  A certified copy will include an embossment and an original signature. We are unable to process copies so please be sure to mail in a certified copy.

Once we receive your document, we’ll hand-deliver it to the U.S. Department of Justice the following business morning.  The U.S. Department of Justice will authenticate your document with a red ribbon seal and signature (see example below) in roughly five business days.

Please note that documents issued by the U.S. District Court (Federal) is not the same as documents issued by the State court.  State court documents can be apostilled from the State that issued the documents.  Documents issued from the U.S. District Court (Federal) can only be authenticated by the Justice Department and receive the apostille from the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C.

The very first step is to contact an FBI Approved Channeler.  An FBI channeler can expedite the processing of your background check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.  The FBI channeler will provide you detailed instructions including sending you a fingerprint card.  You can ask the local police department to help you with your fingerprint card.  Some FBI channelers call also direct you to a  LiveScan service location near you. Once you receive your background check, you can then mail in this document to our Washington DC office for processing.
